Information in English

Smultronstället is a Swedish Saturday School in London aimed at children aged 1-9 years old. The school aims to encourage and develop the Swedish language skills of children living in London with at least one Swedish parent. The youngest children practice their Swedish through singing, playing and creating arts and crafts, whilst learning numbers letters and colours. The older children practice reading and writing skills, whilst the speech is encouraged through interaction with their peers. We work with different themes each term and emphasise Swedish traditions to strengthen the children’s cultural identity. We celebrate all the major Swedish holidays, such as lucia and midsommar.

We also offer midweek music and singing based baby and toddler classes “Sjung och Lär” aimed at ages 6 months to 4 years. These classes are usually hosted by one of the parents in the group. To find out more information about hosting “Sjung och Lär” classes in your area please e-mail us on info@smultronstället.co.uk.

Occasionally we offer a Swedish Holiday Club during school holidays.

If you would like to make an enquiry or book a place for any of our classes please send an e-mail to info@smultronstallet.co.uk or go to the “kontakt” page and fill out the form.
