Smultronstället are currently recruiting for the following freelance teacher and teaching assistant positions. Please see full role descriptions below. These are a part time, freelance roles. 

Distance Learning Swedish teacher

We are expanding and developing our distance learning courses for 2020/2021 and are looking for an experienced Swedish teacher to be part of this adventure.  You will be teaching weekly online courses which are made up of part online group tuition, part self studies.
Ideal candidate:
You will need to have a Swedish teaching qualification (lärarelegitimation) and experience in teaching and lesson planning. Experience with distance/online learning and related web applications is a plus. Experience with course development is also a plus. A suitable candidate is confident and outgoing, self motivated, organised and good at managing their time. Attention to detail, excellent grammar and spelling are essential.
The role:
You will be teaching online group tuition at set times every Saturday during term time, as well as another day of the week of your choice. You will also be carrying out other related work, such as planning, marking and creating learning materials, carried out at flexible times of your choice. This role is suitable for someone living anywhere in the UK, as you will not be required to carry out any work at our physical locations in London. This is a part time, freelance role.

Assistant tutor
To start September 2020. Saturdays and/or Sundays. Potential further hours during the week.
9.00-12.30
Role description:
You will be working with groups of children aged between 1 and 12 years, supporting the teacher and assisting the pupils with their work during lessons. You will assist with material preparation, classroom set up and pack down, pitching in where needed. You will also assist with preparing and serving of snacks, and clearing up after snack time.
Ideal candidate:
Has experience working with children, childcare qualifications a bonus. Outgoing, confident, creative and playful personality. A positive person with a can do attitude
